Two more figures appear at lower levels of the building, one standing peering over a terrace wall at the outside world - there isn't one - and the other sitting alone on a lower flight of steps. The staircase is a strange loop, or tangled hierarchy, as defined by Douglas Hofstader, in I Am A Strange Loop, related to the Penrose triangle, an impossible object apparently devised by the mathematician Roger Penrose, but in reality created by the artist Oscar Reutersvard.

UNFINISHED SENTENCES - THE BALEESHAS DEMONSTRATION CASSETTES 1979-2000.
the baleeshas were an unsigned post- punk band in late 70s/early 80s bristol; the blood group played rock-reggae fusion in liverpool in 1984-7. baleeshas 88 and darkroom demos remained unsent: they were sketches displayed in small galleries, short films shown in imaginary theatres.
